Juliette is the fifth book in the series Blood-Rose Guardians. The series follows the activation of each of the Guardians as they move toward an apocolyptic battle. Juliette is a vampire living in Queensland. She is a nurse at the local hospital where she takes much pride in caring for her geriatric patients. Juliette must face great barriers and overcome them for the greater good. In this journey through a year of her life, she comes to grips with a complicated relationship with her twin sister and the discovery of her ally. As always, Juliette is a tale of romance and desire, good versus evil and the journey of a Guardian.
We are boats on a mighty river, its waters swollen and rough, carry us with the current downstream towards a tumbling, roaring waterfall. Every day we get a little closer to the precipice; inching forward in the flow, sometimes pushed sideways by the wind or our course altered around rapids or debris, but no matter what the obstacle, we are always moving forwards toward that waterfall. At some point, we will have to go over the edge and follow the cascade into the plunge pool at its base. What we will find there is a mystery except that we know it will be dark and evil; a vile cauldron of anger and fear salted with menace, and an undertow that will pull us into the depths of despair.
